Aviation Electricians Mate, 1974 – 1978
Training in basic electricity and electronics, schematic reading, and troubleshooting of
circuitry related to aircraft electrical systems. Duties included, scheduled/non-scheduled
maintenance on “Base Aircraft” as well as “Transient Aircraft” flying through the base
for maintenance procedures. My specialist rating was in, generators, alternators,
regulators, and associated instrumentation, voltmeters, and ammeters, that show their
status.

Frame Attendant, 1978 - 1991
Training in Bell System Practices relating to wiring and servicing telecommunications
equipment in a Central Office-Main Distributing Frame. Annual certifications and
periodic training classes were held to keep employees up to date on the latest
technologies. Duties included, wiring in new circuits(T1's, D4channel banks, Apartment
Door Answering Systems,) just to name a few on special service side, as well as POTS
lines(plain old telephone service).I was also responsible for answering any calls that
came in from outside technicians needing assistance with a wiring issue on the
MDF(Main Distributing Frame). Systems used in daily activities include, COSMOS,
SOACS, and TIRKS.

Service Technician, 1991 - 1997
Field servicing/troubleshooting, and installation of residential and business
telecommunication needs. Specializing in business PBX setup and Networking
components. Training included, classes in ISDN technologies, Digital Multiplexing
across the copper network, and DSL setup and maintenance. System software installed on
Field Technicians handheld devices included, WFADO, LFACS, WFAC, MLT, and
LMOS.

Cable Splicing Technician, 1997 – 2010
Job description involves maintaining Verizon plant and facilities. Copper facilities
leaving Central Offices, copper facilities leaving remote locations such as controlled
environmental vaults, and service area interfaces. Repair and replacement of building
terminals, aerial/pole mounted terminals, buried/underground terminals. Working closely
with Verizon Engineering Department required an understanding of DS1, DS3, OC3, and
FTTP topologies. Provisioning of Hi-cap circuits, T1's, DSL, and ADSL circuits, working
in conjunction with engineering’s use of IDDN, ICGS, BDMS(Address Validation), and
IVAPP validation. Trained in fiber technologies at the Verizon Odenton, Maryland
Training Center in 2005 and refresher course in November of 2008. Training involved
fiber splicing using a Sumitomo Type 25e Fusion Splicer. Installation and setup of
assorted Motorola, and Alcatel Optical Network Terminals.

Fiber Optic Construction Installer, 08/2011-10/2011
Contract work at Willow Grove Air National Guard Base for Trans Tel Communications,
installing a fiber optic ring upgrade. Installation of "Maxcell" inner duct and "Corning"
fiber optic cable as part of a fiber ring upgrade. Duties included setting up relay racks,
pulling fiber cables, and dressing down manholes for base inspection.

Electricians Helper, 01/2012-02/2012
Contract work for Tradesman International as an Electricians Helper on projects in
Radnor, PA at a residential renovation, wiring and installing recessed lighting. Also I was
assigned to contract for Guillespie Electric company at new construction site in King of
Prussia, PA. GSA building on Renaissance Parkway. Installed lighting sensors, and tested
their operation.

Project Coordinator, 02/2012-12/2012
Contract work for Quest Diagnostics in West Norriton PA. My duties as Project
Coordinator consisted of analyzing the Quest Telecom Database for consistency in client
documentation. Communicating with Quest clients to verify information for database
updates, or setting up disconnects of unused telephone lines. Use of Microsoft Outlook,
and Excel were required functions.
United States Postal Service, Lansdale, PA
Rural Letter Carrier Assistant, 06/01/2013-09/30/2013/Seasonal Employee
Part time position, assisting in mail delivery to the “Dock Woods” rural route in the
Lansdale/Towamencin area.
Trained at the Lindbergh Blvd, Philadelphia training center. Instructor led classes in
postage types, letter, and parcel types, and federal, and governmental legislation
regarding the United States Postal Service. Additional training in mail sorting, and
identifying various types of mail was given at my home office in Lansdale. I was given a
3 day course in driving a postal long life vehicle. Duty station is the Lansdale, Vine St
Post Office.
